A short note on a misprinted schedule

A reader in Gdansk wrote to say that the demurrage free time I quoted last month for one carrier’s Rotterdam terminal, 7 days, was wrong. It is 5. I checked. He is right, and I was working from page 14 of a tariff PDF dated March that has since been superseded.

The PDF has a misprint: page 14 says 7 days, page 31 says 5. Customer service confirmed 5, then said the 7 was “under review”. It has been under review since March.

If you used my number, check your invoices. A reader at an importer in Lodz found 2 days of extra storage on a single box, at $95 a day.

The right answer was on the booking portal, which updates faster than any PDF. I should have looked there first.
